An evening of poetry, theatre and music on arrivals, departures, landscapes and journeys
Written and performed by Lydia Towsey with live onstage music and vocals by Dave Dhonau and Ola Szmidt and guest poets and performers Taffi, Kev McVeigh, Inés Gregori Labarta and Yvonne Battle-Felton.
Co-directed by Rachel Mars and Nick Field.
In this new poetry and music show, through the filters of an immigration officer, the tabloids and the general public, Venus experiences what it means to be a 21st century woman - traveler, every-woman, immigrant, outsider - at a time of social, cultural and political turmoil and change.
The show is about how we look - at ourselves, at each other, and the world - and how others influence the way we do so. Suitable for 14+
