For the premiere creative writing event of the season and the first in over a year on campus, Edge Hill University welcomes two great writers and also showcases two years of MA student work.
Featuring British-Guyanese writer Fred D’Aguiar who is currently Professor of English at UCLA. At Edge Hill, he will launch his exceptional new memoir, Year of Plagues, which reflects on 2020, a year of personal and global crisis.
Sarah Schofield will launch her debut short story collection, Safely Gathered In, published by Comma Press (2021). Schofield is a Lecturer in Creative Writing at Edge Hill University and runs writing courses and workshops in a variety of community settings.
This event will include readings from several MA Creative Writing students, past and present.
