Out-Spoken is hosted by Joelle Taylor, with Sam 'Junior' Bromfield spinning the best in reggae, soul and R&B throughout the evening.

Jason Allen-Paisant is a lecturer in Caribbean poetry and decolonial thought in the School of English at the University of Leeds, where he’s also the director of the Institute for Colonial and Postcolonial Studies. His latest collection is Thinking with Trees (Carcanet, 2021)

Andrew McMillan's first collection, physical, was the first poetry collection to win the Guardian First Book Award; it also won a Somerset Maugham Award, an Eric Gregory Award, a Northern Writers' Award and the Aldeburgh First Collection Prize. His latest collection is pandemonium (Cape Poetry, 2021)

Mona Arshi’s debut collection Small Hands won the Forward Prize for Best First Collection in 2015 and her second collection Dear Big Gods was published in 2019. Her debut novel Somebody Loves You was published in autumn 2021.

West Midlands newcomer Benny Atlas burst onto the scene in November 2020 with his single ‘Paradise’. The Armenian, Iranian and British vocalist has a smooth, distinctive vocal, and his honest lyrical inspiration delivers an exciting and newly authentic approach to the sounds of the UK.
