Bios
Jason Allen-Paisant is from the village Coffee Grove in Manchester, Jamaica. His literary debut Thinking with Trees (Carcanet, 2021) was shortlisted for the prestigious OCM Bocas Prize for Caribbean Literature.
Jason is a lecturer in Caribbean Poetry & Decolonial Thought in the School of English at the University of Leeds.
Poet Samuel Tongue’s debut poetry collection, Sacrifice Zones, focuses on the places and people that become expendable to maintain a ‘civilised’ society.
