Michael Brome is a poet and rapper based in Leicester. He has performed all over England including Jazz Café, Jongleurs, The Bluecoat, Free Word and The Drum. 

In 2013, he was featured as part of Lyric Lounge, Off The Shelf and a spoken word project on Martin Luther King's I Have A Dream Speech.  In 2007, he won the national Spoken Word Commission initiated by Baroness Lola Young, which resulted in a performance at the Queen Elizabeth Hall. 

Michael is an active contributor to East Midlands’ arts scene through collaborations with Curve Theatre, Nottingham Playhouse, De Montford Hall, Bootleg Jazz Festival and Embrace Arts.  He is an alumni of The Final Stage, a mentoring project for writers led by Jean ‘Binta’ Breeze MBE and Renaissance One.
